Dry Humping, Urinating, and Schedules

Odd title. But it sums up what’s been happening this week. I’ve been seeing and noticing things in Mokpo. The first is how old men feel the need to urinate wherever they are. Walking home from the school Monday, an old man (70-80s) was taking a whiz in the bus stop. I guess when you have to go, you really do have to go.

I was teaching my last class of the day yesterday and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a woman on the soccer field who appeared to be dry humping a boulder. I froze for about 10 seconds to observe the afore mentioned dry hump. It turns out she wasn’t making sweet sweet love to the rock, but was indeed stretching, kinky as it may seem.

The schedules here for my work are very scattered. I have a four hour gap in between my first and second classes most days of the week. I use this time to plan lessons, but that only takes up so much time, leaving me with a good three and a half hours to kill. I teach 17 classes a week and English Club on Thursdays, but I feel underutilized somewhat.

Mokpo is still pretty good. Can’t complain. I’m slowly picking up more of the language. I wish I had a car for dumpster diving. Seen some nice furniture tossed out. If only I could lug some to my apartment.
